Meet Sara. A sweet nine year old who is changing the face of beauty.
Words from Sara’s Mom-
We found out that our angel Sara had Down Syndrome 10 days after out first ultra sound on my 39th birthday. We were upset and went through a lot of emotions. Worried about what a future would be like for her, we were scared. Some people told us we should abort. That thought never crossed my mind!! She was a baby, my baby and I was going to love her with all my heart. I am so happy that Sara came to me. She is funny, has a great sense of humor, independent(at times anyway), is eager to learn, loves helping others and is loved by many! Sara has 2 older sisters Lindsey and Caitlyn who just adore her!! Wouldn’t change her for anything!!
It was a pleasure to do a special photo session with some local kids who have Down syndrome. I am hoping to spread awareness locally in addition to adding my own flair to the campaign, Changing the Face of Beauty.
